Easter baskets, decorated wagons, bicycles and electric vehicles and a mad scramble for thousands of “hidden” Easter treats are on tap Saturday morning in Commerce.
The Commerce Downtown Development Authority’s annual Easter Parade will leave the drive-through lanes of Community Bank & Trust, the event sponsor, on North Elm Street at 10:45 and will arrive at the First Baptist Church at about 11 for the egg hunt.
Thousands of candy eggs and numerous prize eggs will be “hidden” on the front yard of the church — which will be picked clean in less than 10 minutes.
Judging for the parade begins at 10 a.m. Ribbons will be presented for the three best-decorated bicycles, electric vehicles and wagons in the parade, after which the Commerce Police Department will escort the parade down Elm Street to the church.
