Seventy-five or more volunteers will descend upon downtown Commerce Saturday morning for the city’s annual cleanup and planting day.
“I would guess we will have 75-plus people,” said Mark McCannon, chairman of the Downtown Development Authority, which puts on the event. “There are multiple flowerbeds to be planted, parking lots we’re going to clean up, we have sidewalks we’re going to pressure wash and there will probably be some trash being picked up.”
