The Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved a $109,364 contract Monday to construct basketball and tennis courts at the East Jackson recreation park in Nicholson.
The BOC discussed the project at an earlier work session and county manager Kevin Poe reported that Nicholson will provide $30,000 toward the project. The county’s portion of the project will be funded with special purpose local option sales tax revenue allocated for recreation.
