People looking to see how candidates for office stand on the issue will have a pair of opportunities later this month.
The candidates in the July 31 elections will address the issues at political forums planned in June at Jackson Electric Membership Corporation in Jefferson.
Candidates for probate court, county commissioners and sheriff will be featured at a political forum at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12.
Candidates for board of education, State Court judge, board of commissioners chairman and 9th District U.S. Congress will be featured at a political forum at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19.
Questions from the audience will be taken and will be screened by a committee appointed by the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce and the Farm Bureau of Jackson County, the co-sponsors of the forums. The candidates will also give opening and closing statements.
