I would like to announce a vocabulary retirement. Unfortunately, I cannot.
After attending the usual number of planning sessions over the first four months of the year, I’ve concluded that it’s time to retire that ubiquitous phrase meant to encourage people to look at things differently.
Yes, “thinking outside the box” is overdue for relegation to the dustbin of American euphemisms.

Retiring an overused cliche like "Thinking outside the box"? I would say that's a "Win win situation".
