A burglar stole $2,420 worth of electronics and other items from a Washington Street residence last week, according to the Commerce Police Department.
A 19-year-old Latino male told police that he came home from work and found his garage door open and the door leading to the interior of the house broken.
Police entered the residence and found the house in disarray, with movies and games on the floor and drawers open. They noted a modem that had apparently been disconnected from a computer.
The victim said the thief got three video game consoles, a 42—inch flat-screen TV, a 32-inch flat-screen TV, two laptop computers, a diamond ring and several movie sets.
