STATHAM - Faye Jones Prather, 76, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012.
A native of Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Thurmond Carr and Lizzie Bryant Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Leroy Prather; and a daughter, Vicki Prather Shaver. Mrs. Prather was employed at General Time for 47 years before retirement and was a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Ricky Prather, Statham, Thomas L. Gordon, Jefferson, and Steve Gordon, Athens; sisters Betty Ray, Hull, and Connie Brewer, Watkinsville; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with the Revs. Norman Gordon and Jeff Seymour officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Bernstein beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
