A Rice Street man returned to his home recently to find that someone had stolen more than $5,000 worth of items, according to a report filed with the Commerce Police Department.
The 65-year-old white male said when he walked into the living room, he noticed that his 40-inch TV valued at $500 was gone. He then went into the bedroom to find it ransacked.
The victim reported the following items missing: a set of binoculars valued at $450, a Nikon range finder worth $250, a .22-250 rifle valued at $1,500, a .30-06 rifle and scope worth $400, a 12-gauge shotgun valued at $1,200 and a gold watch worth $1,200.

Wow....it amazes me how someone on Rice Street can have anything with the values as high as listed. A $1,200 shotgun?? Sounds like insurance fraud....I wonder if this is the same address that has filed several insurance claims in the past few years....
