One killed in Tuesday traffic accident

The Georgia State Patrol has released the name of a man killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 441 at Hwy. 98.

According to the state patrol, Anthony Johnsa, 32, of Nicholson was racing another vehicle as on 441 northbound around 2 p.m. Johnsa's vehicle struck another vehicle as it attempted to turn from Hwy. 98 onto U.S. 441.

Johnsa was pronounced dead at the scene and a second person was transported to Northridge Medical Center with minor injuries.
