An ordinance to allow the Sunday sale of alcohol in Commerce is expected to be on the city council’s agenda Monday night.
The Commerce City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Commerce Room of the Commerce Civic Center.
Voters approved two referendums on Tuesday, Nov. 7, one allowing Sunday sales of beer, wine and spirits by the drink in restaurants currently licensed; the other will allow the sale of beer and wine by the package on Sundays by stores currently holding package licenses.
Voters approved by-the-drink Sunday sales by a 457-260 margin and Sunday package sales by a vote of 439-273, according to the final official count conducted Wednesday morning. Those numbers are slightly different than the initial tally from Tuesday night.
Licensed establishments could begin Sunday sales as early as Dec. 1, but that date is tentative.

Am I the only one that doesn't understand what you just said? Appears that another day to buy/drink beer is the last thing you need.
