Say goodbye to those green rollaway trash containers in Downtown Commerce. Come late winter, they’ll be history.
Reporting to her board of directors last Wednesday, Denise McKay, executive director of the Commerce Downtown Development Authority, explained that the garbage containers — identical to the Waste Management containers provided to residential garbage customers — will be replaced by larger centralized dumpsters.

Since I am a city resident who pays the city monthly to pick up my trash and I will now be taking my trash to a central location I want to know the decrease that will be coming to my monthly bill as my service will be decreased

This doesn't include residential. You will still have your roll out can.

This is only for downtown businesses. Residential service will stay the same.

I wish you luck with that, Heidi, but I can't imagine the government at any level is going to try to save a CITIZEN any money.
