A man who lost his girlfriend to another man didn’t take the rejection well, according to the Commerce Police Department.
Officers talked to a Harris Street couple. The 48-year-old white female told them that her ex-boyfriend, a 42-year-old white male from Nicholson, had tried to contact her since early February and had threatened both her and her new boyfriend, also a 42-year-old white male.
The victim told police that he’d found roofing nails on his driveway and that he’d discovered nails in five of the tires on his two vehicles.
The two further reported that the ex-boyfriend had just finished a construction project and would have had access to roofing nails.
