Clearly, Commerce officials expected a higher turnout at their town hall meeting Monday night, but the 30-35 citizens who attended seemed to appreciate the effort and the information. It was a good start.
Mayor Clark Hill thoroughly explained the city’s financial condition, outlined the challenges yet to be faced, noted that there are opportunities as well, and generally presented an upbeat view of the future.
