The search process to find the next superintendent of the Commerce City School System continues.
The school board announced at its regular meeting Monday night that assistant superintendent Joy Tolbert is the “finalist” for the position of interim superintendent and will be officially named to that position on June 25.
At its work session on the evening of Thursday, June 6, the board met in a closed-to-the-public session to receive an update on applications received to date.
Frank King and Sandy Addis who are conducting the search process, met with the board to review applications received in the early phase of the search. King and Addis also informed the board of several prospective applicants who have indicated by phone calls that they will submit applications by the deadline of June 28.
