The Commerce Police Department is looking for a suspect who walked into a local optometry practice and stole six pairs of glasses.
According to the incident report, the office manager of Milford and Doss, South Elm Street, said a black male attempted to make appointments for himself and two children, during which he stole four pairs of sunglasses and two pairs of regular glasses.
The report said the business’ surveillance system showed the man slipping the glasses down his shirt.
The name and address the man gave for himself came back not on file, but the office manager reported that information on one of the children turned up a policy owned by an Atlanta man — and the man’s address.
