An independent film producer from Lawrenceville will shoot a couple of scenes in Commerce Aug. 31-Sept. 1 for a TV pilot.
Jason “Lumberjack” Johnson will shoot a reunion scene at the Opera House for his proposed series, “Reunited — A Southern Touch,” a story set in Dillon, SC, about the lives of former high school classmates some years after graduation.
“The setting of the TV pilot is actually Dillon, SC, a small town that nobody knows of but is home to 6,500 people,” Johnson said via e-mail. “It is the town I grew up in, almost like Commerce as I am told, being that a lot of the people know everybody.”
One scene will be shot in the Opera House, and others will be filmed in Snellville and Milledgeville, and there will be other shooting in Commerce, including at Grey Hill Cemetery.
