When qualifying ended this (Wednesday) afternoon for the Nov. 5 Commerce elections, three new faces had qualified for office — all for school board positions.
Here are the candidates for election:
Mayor pro tem — Keith Burchett, incumbent
Ward 1 city council — Archie D. Chaney Jr., incumbent
Ward 2 city council — Darren Owensby, incumbent; and Donald Wilson

Anderson, Tate and Moore are all newcomers to the political scene.
