For want of a tag light, an Athens man and a Royston woman face felony drug charges, misdemeanor drug charges and five other charges, according to reports from the Commerce Police Department.
An officer on Mount Olive Road noticed a work truck without a working tag light and followed it. He also observed the vehicle crossing the fog line several times before he pulled it over near Ridgeway Street.
The driver, David Perry Dalton, 49, 738 Archer Street, Athens, explained that he was unfamiliar with the road and was using his GPS to find a friend’s residence. He also conceded that his driver’s license had been suspended.
