In a called meeting following a public hearing Monday night at which no one spoke, the Commerce City Council officially set its 2013 property tax and accepted the final version of its 2013-14 budget.
The $24.9-million budget calls for a 4.02-mill tax rate, which is the same rate as last year. Because the tax digest grew slightly — by four-tenths of one percent — that levy will bring in some $2,000 more than the 2012 tax levy.
The public hearing lasted three and a half minutes; the called meeting required four minutes.
