The eighty-seventh annual Jackson County New Year’s Day Program will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 1, at 9 a.m. in the auditorium of the Jackson County Administrative Building.
The first New Year’s Day Program was held in 1927, with Judge W.W. Dickson presiding. This year the featured speaker will be Pastor Darrel Rewis of Corner-Stone Church, in Jefferson.
The public is invited. The program is intended “to thank God for the blessings of the past year and seek divine guidance and blessing for the upcoming year.”
Coffee and doughnuts will be provided.
