Driving too fast created additional legal problems for three people pulled over during the past week by officers of the Commerce Police Department.
Samantha Sue Lockhart, 30, 4482 Lake Ivanhoe Drive, Tucker was one of those. An officer stopped her for doing 91 miles per hour while traveling south in a 70-mph zone on Interstate 85, then noted the smell of marijuana as he approached the vehicle.
According to the officer’s written report, he also noted that Lockhart lit up a cigarette immediately upon being pulled over. When he asked her when she’d last smoked marijuana, she said, “earlier.” The officer noted marijuana in plain sight on the center console, at which time he said Lockhart admitted to the presence of a “roach.”
