A boy who vandalized a 17-year-old’s vehicle in the parking lot of Quality Foods, Maysville Road, made a couple of mistakes that could lead to his arrest, according to the Commerce Police Department.
The victim, a 17-year-old white male, told police that the boy, whom he knows, scratched the bed of his truck, kicked the rear of the truck and left a dent, spit tobacco juice on the hood and left a note.
The note was written on the back of the suspect’s pay stub, which contained his name.
In addition, the victim showed police a text message the perpetrator sent warning the victim to “don’t get the police involved” or the victim would “have trouble.”
The victim also told police that the incident was recorded by surveillance cameras in the Quality Foods parking lot.
