Someone who stole a purse out of an unlocked vehicle last week wasted no time profiting from the crime.
A 23-year-old Latin female told police that someone used her debit card to buy $60 worth of gasoline at Quick Trip at Banks Crossing and then tried to use it at Walmart for two purchases totaling $450. Walmart declined the card.
The woman said someone stole the purse from her unlocked vehicle at her Hood Street residence. The wallet also contained $180 in cash, a driver’s license, various documents and her son’s hand-held Nintendo game.
