The Commerce City Council got a quick but detailed look at the numbers that will make up the city’s Fiscal Year 2015 budget at its Monday night work session.
The fiscal year begins July 1. The city council expects to vote on the final document at its June 16 meeting and will hold a public hearing prior to its June 2 council meeting.
“It’s a balanced budget,” commented city manager Pete Pyrzenski Monday night. “That’s a fact I’m very proud of.”
It is also a budget with very little growth. “Pyrzenski used the word “flat” multiple times to describe the various departmental totals and line items.
