The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will move forward on approving recreation projects to be funded with special purpose local option sales tax revenue at the meeting set for 6 p.m. on Monday, May 19, at the courthouse.
At a meeting Monday, the board reviewed the proposed recreation projects, which include renovations at the Center Community Center, located near Nicholson.
Recreation director Ricky Sanders outlined the $525,000 in projects to be funded this year, which include:
•new parks and recreation office, $300,000.
•Center Park, phase one, $150,000.
