The Georgia Department of Transportation announces the following maintenance work scheduled for next week:
Jackson County: A crew will repair the rutting alongside SR 335, requiring a lane closure; another crew will trim vegetation in the rights away along U.S. 441, requiring shoulder closure. Still other crews will repair damaged guardrails on U.S. 441 and U.S. 129.
Banks County: A crew will repair the surface of the bridge on SR 59 over the Hudson river, requiring a lane closure. The shoulders on SR 51 and SR 63 will also be repaired, requiring lane closures, and a crew will trim vegetation in the rights of way along SR 53 and SR 15.
Madison County: A crew will spray herbicide on vegetation along SR 8 and SR 106. A lane and the shoulder will be closed.
All work will take place Monday through Friday, July 28-Aug. 1, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., weather permitting.
