Last week I ran into one of life’s challenging little assignments. I needed to take a car down to Jackson, Georgia, deliver it to my cousin Douglas, and then somehow obtain a rental car so I would have a way to get back to Commerce.
Since Jackson is a county seat, I’d initially assumed that there would be a car-rental agency in town. I was wrong. Fortunately, Enterprise Car Rental came to my rescue. They’ve figured out that if you need to rent a car, it’s because you are at least temporarily without one. (Sounds so obvious, doesn’t it? But that’s often the way it is with strokes of genius.) So they keep a driver on hand to pick you up – even if you’re in another town.
