The Lady Tigers were disappointed in Albany over the weekend as stiff competition from rival class A schools edged the Commerce athletes out of the finals. After delays due to rain, the East Jackson girls’ track team was finally able to wrap up their region meet last week. The Lady Eagles finished sixth at region with 47 points. The East Jackson boys’ track season came to a close at the Georgia Olympics at Jefferson this past weekend, with two Eagles placing, while two others finished in the top 10. EJCHS basketball camp coming up in June

The Future Eagles basketball camp will be held beginning Monday, June 1, and will run through Thursday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $100 and $75 for each additional sibling. Lady Golfers Place Sixth At State Tournament Monday

The Lady Tiger golfers finished just four strokes shy of fifth place at the state tournament Monday. Commerce took sixth place with a score of 208. Shooting a career best 99, CJ Wilkes was the team medalist followed by Chelsey Cain (109). For more on this story, see this week's The Commerce News.
